# How to register punches in Oloid Connect - WIP

**Pre-requisite:**

* You must log in to Oloid Connect. For more details, refer [Installing the Oloid Connect App](https://oloid.help/en/articles/8400084-installing-the-oloid-connect-app#h_cafca7e5fe) > [Initial Setup](https://oloid.help/en/articles/8400084-installing-the-oloid-connect-app#h_cafca7e5fe)
* Oloid Connect must be paired with an endpoint. For more details, refer [How to pair an Oloid Connect endpoint](https://oloid.help/en/articles/8616268-how-to-pair-an-oloid-connect-endpoint)

To register punch:

1. Launch **Oloid Connect** in preview mode.
   The intent page is displayed.
2. Select **IN PUNCH** to record your in-time.
   The **Select Department** dialog box is displayed.
3. Select a preferred department and then click **Confirm**.
   This opens the camera on your device.
4. Look at the camera to confirm your identity.
   Your punch-in is recorded.
5. Select **End of Shift** to record your out-time successfully.
